KITCHEN REMODELING

Kitchen Remodeling in Tampa Bay

Most kitchen companies can install cabinets. Fewer can move a load-bearing wall, relocate plumbing across a slab, or reroute a panel to handle an induction range — and those are usually the things standing between the kitchen you have and the one you want. We're a licensed general contractor, so the structural work and the finish work are the same job with the same person responsible.

PROCESS

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchen remodels take 6 to 12 weeks of on-site work, plus 3 to 6 weeks beforehand for design, selections, and permitting. Cabinetry is almost always the long pole — semi-custom typically runs 6 to 10 weeks from order to delivery, and custom can run longer. We order cabinets before demo starts so the box isn't sitting empty waiting on them.

01

Consultation & Layout

1–2 weeks

We measure the existing space, discuss how you cook and entertain, and explore layout options including island placement, traffic flow, and appliance zones.

02

Design & Selections

3–6 weeks

We produce 3D renderings, a materials list, and a fixed-price quote. You select cabinets, counters, tile, fixtures, and appliances from our vendor partners.

03

Construction

6–12 weeks

Demo, rough-in, cabinetry, counters, and finishes. We protect adjacent rooms with dust barriers and keep the kitchen sealed from the rest of the home.

1 week

We test every appliance, check every drawer and door, and walk you through care and maintenance. All work is backed by our written warranty.

What moves the number

Cabinetry

Typically 30–40% of the total. Stock to custom is the widest swing in the whole project.

Moving plumbing or gas

Relocating a sink or range on a slab foundation means cutting concrete.

Removing walls

Load-bearing removal requires engineering, a beam, and often a permit revision.

Countertop material

Entry-level quartz to exotic natural stone can double this line item.

Appliances

Homeowner-supplied or through us, this varies more than any other category.

We quote every project line by line after walking the property. You'll see what each piece costs before you commit to any of it.

FAQ

Questions about kitchen remodeling.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Tampa?

Most full kitchen remodels in the Tampa Bay area run $45,000 to $65,000, with the overall range spanning roughly $30,000 to $85,000 depending on size, cabinetry grade, and whether the layout changes. Cosmetic updates that keep existing cabinets and plumbing in place cost considerably less.

Can I use my kitchen during the remodel?

No, not during the main phase. Plan on 6 to 12 weeks without a functioning kitchen. Most clients set up a temporary kitchen in a garage or dining room with a microwave, a fridge, and a hot plate — we can help you plan where.

Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?

Yes, in almost every case. Any electrical, plumbing, or structural work requires a permit in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. Purely cosmetic work — paint, hardware, countertop replacement with no plumbing change — sometimes doesn't. We handle permitting either way.

Can you remove the wall between my kitchen and living room?

Usually yes, but it depends on whether the wall is load-bearing. If it is, removal requires an engineered beam, a permit, and framing work — which typically adds $4,000 to $12,000 to the project. We determine load-bearing status during the consultation, not after demo.

Do you supply the appliances?

Either way works. Many clients purchase their own appliances directly and we install them. We can also source them through our supplier accounts. What matters is that final appliance specs are locked before cabinetry is ordered, because a half-inch difference in a range width changes the cabinet run.
